2026 Easton Youth and Collegiate Trophy Tournament Format & Rules

Chapter 1 - Registration
1.1 Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament – There are two, 60-Arrow Qualification Shooting Times: Saturday, January 24, 2026 @ 2pm, and Sunday, January 25, 2026 @ 8am. Trophies will be awarded to each 1st Place Champion. The top 3 scores from each division will be awarded deluxe medallions. Early registration fee of $75 for all divisions prior to January 3, 2026. After 11:59pm EST, January 2, 2026, Registration Fees will be $125.
1.2 All cancellations prior to 11:59pm EST, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 will receive a refund minus the $25 Lane Reservation Fee. No changes or cancellations will be accepted after 11:59pm EST, Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Cancellations made after 11:59pm EST, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 will forfeit their entire Registration Fee including any pre-purchased practice pass, event merchandise, and Lane Reservation Fee without exception.
1.3 Archers who register for the Youth & Collegiate Trophy Tournament may also register for the 2026 Lancaster Archery Classic.
1.4 Practice: Available on three ranges at the Nook; $20 for weekend access when prepaid, $25 when purchased on site, this fee includes target faces. Practice ranges at the Nook will be Wednesday 4pm-8pm (Practice range #3 only), Thursday 6:30am-8pm, Friday and Saturday 6:30am-8pm, and Sunday 6:30am-12pm (Baseball Diamond practice range will remain open until 2:30pm).
1.4a Free off-site practice at Lancaster Archery Supply’s Academy indoor ranges; 2195-A Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster (13-15 min. drive); Academy Main Range access during business hours, additionally free practice range access in the Shooting Center building from 7am until midnight Thursday - Sunday.
1.5 Your Registration Packet will be picked up at registration and include event swag; LAS Classic Event T-Shirts will be available for purchase during online registration and/or at registration.
1.6 Please review your registration information to ensure all information is correct prior to shooting.
1.7 Please arrive at Spooky Nook Sports and be checked in at registration 30 minutes prior to your line time.
1.8 Food and drinks are available for purchase at Spooky Nook Sports concession areas
1.9 Spooky Nook Sports has more than 2000 parking spaces; $10 Parking Fee per car per day if not a Warehouse Hotel guest.
1.10 Free Door Prizes will be drawn after each end of Qualification Rounds on Sat/Sun. Total Prize value exceeding $50,000.

Chapter 2 - Divisions
2.1 Compound, Olympic Recurve, Barebow, and Bowhunter with the following age divisions: Bowman (12 & under), Cub (13-14), Cadet (15-17), Junior (18-20), and Collegiate (collegiate archers must have proper eligibility); an archer’s division is based on their age as of Saturday, January 24, 2026. Divisions are further divided by gender. Divisions are further divided by gender. Basic Compound will have the following divisions: Elementary School, Middle School, High School. These divisions will also be further divided by gender. Archer must be currently enrolled as of Friday, January 23, 2026 in an Elementary, Middle, or High School to be eligible for these divisions. Homeschool and Virtual School archers are allowed to compete in their grade’s division. Elementary School is defined as any grade 5 and under. Middle School is defined as grades 6 through 8. High School is defined as grades 9-12.
2.1a Stabilizing weights, bars, and systems are allowed in the eligible divisions, provided that their only point of contact is where they connect to the bow. No physical contact between these items and the archer is allowed.
2.1b The Stability Optimization System may be used in any class, but for the Bowhunter Class it must be attached to the front or rear stabilizer in such a way as to not exceed the 12” requirement including the coupling device.
2.2 Collegiate eligibility is defined as taking at least 6 credit hours’ worth of classes at an accredited collegiate institution over the period of time the Classic is held.
2.2a Graduate students are eligible to compete in a Collegiate Division, and may apply in writing for a waiver to rule 2.2 by emailing classic@lancasterarchery.com
2.3 Excepting first-year freshmen, for whom there is no GPA requirement, collegiate archers must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates, and 3.0 for graduate students.
2.4 Collegiate archers are required to provide proof of enrollment by submitting either a USA Archery Collegiate Eligibility Form OR a Lancaster Archery Classic eligibility form to the email address classic@lancasterarchery.com before registration for this event has closed.
2.5 A Basic Compound is defined as a “Genesis” bow shot only with fingers (glove, tab or bare fingers) where the draw is mechanically varied by a system of pulleys with no let-off. Maximum draw weight will be 20 lbs. No sight, stabilizer, peep or kisser button are allowed. An arrow rest is permitted. The only arrows that will be permitted for the Basic Compound Division are the Easton 1820 aluminum “Genesis” arrow. Equipment regulations for this division follow NASP Bullseye Rules.
Chapter 3 - Competition Round
3.1 60 arrows from 18m at a 40cm target face w/ inner X's scored as 11's; a maximum possible score of 660.
3.1a The Basic Compound divisions will shoot 60 arrows at a 60cm target face at 15m. There will be a maximum of two archers per target face and four archers per target bale.
3.2 All archers will have a choice between either a 40cm 3-Spot “Vegas” Style target face or a 40cm Single Spot full target face except for the Basic Compound division. Archers in the Basic Compound division will shoot a single 60cm target face.
3.3 Competition Round will have 2 ends of official practice before scoring begins.
3.4 Competition Round will be timed at 2 minutes (120 seconds) for 3 shots.
3.4a The order of shooting will alternate between target assignments AB & CD (ie. AB will shoot first on end 1 and CD will shoot first on end 2 continuing this alternation for 20 scoring ends).
3.5 Procedures regarding arrows shot out of time:
3.5a For archers shooting a single spot target face, a shot released before the start signal or after the stop signal closing an end will result in the archer losing their highest scoring arrow of that end.
3.5b For archers shooting a 3-spot target face, a shot released before the start signal or after the stop signal closing an end will result in the archer losing that arrow of that end.
3.5c If an archer shoots more than the designated amount of arrows in an end, they will lose their highest scoring arrows and the lowest three scoring arrows will be recorded.
3.5d Arrows traveling entirely past the 3-meter dead arrow line cannot be re-shot and will be scored as a miss.
3.6 Double scoring will be utilized, with both a tablet and paper scorecard, arrow calls are made by the majority of the group.
3.6a Scorecards must be carefully totaled and signed before being turned in as the final scorecard. Scores for top qualifiers will be rechecked and addition will be changed if the written math is incorrect. Electronic scoring is unofficial.
3.7 Do not touch any arrow or target face until all arrow values have been called and recorded accurately.
3.7a An archer can request a Judge if he/she disagrees with their group’s call; Judges will rotate every 5 ends, their ruling is final.
3.7b Archers must number (1, 2, 3) each spot if shooting a three spot target; arrows will then be shot and recorded in this order.
3.7c Single Spot targets will be scored in order of lowest scoring arrow to highest
3.8 Ties in total score are first broken on # of 11’s, then # of 10’s, and finally 1st arrow out of highest scoring ring.
3.8a 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th arrows missing 11 ring will be used to break ties. (archer shooting clean w/ 11’s longest wins).
3.9 Archers are required to replace their target face at judge’s discretion; target faces may not be altered or repaired. Archers may also replace their target face at will.
3.10 Witnessed bounce outs or witnessed physical interference by another archer will be re-shot.
3.11 Archer may miss up to 2 ends during their Competition Round for equipment failures; arrows will be made up at the judge’s discretion during the same Competition Round.
3.12 Archers must use the target pins that are supplied at the targets by Lancaster Archery Supply.
Chapter 4 - Additional Rules
4.1 Each competitor will be required to sign the Classic Liability & Photo Waiver upon registration.
4.2 The LAS Classic will continue despite inclement weather, unless Spooky Nook Sports Complex closes or other calamities arise from any cause beyond our reasonable control, such as fires, floods, earthquakes, epidemics, wars, governmental actions, civil disturbances, strikes and riots. If one or more days must be canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, awards will be handed out based on any qualification scores that have been submitted. No refunds will be given due to circumstances beyond our control.
4.3 Listening devices (headphones, earbuds, or the like) are not permitted to be worn whilst on the shooting line or down range. Medical devices are allowed such as hearing aids, the judge reserves the right to ask for a medical note.
4.4 Use of cell phones while on the shooting line is prohibited.
4.5 Archers must use a manufacturer produced arrow shaft no larger than size 2712 (10.7 mm, .422” diameter), with the exception of the Basic Compound divisions, which are limited to Easton 1820 aluminum “Genesis” arrow shafts
4.6 No bow racks will be provided; archers must use their own bow stand.
4.7 Medals will be awarded at the conclusion of the Sunday 8am Qualification Round. If the archer is not present to collect their award, it may be picked up by a friend or family member. Any awards not collected will be mailed to the address provided during registration.
4.8 Code of Conduct – all participants and spectators are expected to follow the Lancaster Archery Classic Code of Conduct. Any person(s) found in violation of the Code of Conduct may receive warnings and/or be disqualified from the event. Discretion of enforcement is applied based on individual circumstances as brought to LAS staff and judges.
4.9 Division eligibility: Archers competing in a division with specific age or gender requirements must adhere to the division parameters set forth by the Lancaster Archery Classic. Lancaster Archery reserves the right to request proof of division eligibility which is constituted as an original issued birth certificate detailing the gender and date of birth issued by the legal jurisdiction of the athlete's place of birth. Lancaster Archery will not accept any subsequently issued birth certificate reflecting a gender other than that assigned by such legal jurisdiction at the original date of issuance.
4.9 a. Any infractions regarding division eligibility or violations of the appeal process will result in strict enforcement of the Code of Conduct (4.8). For appeals regarding division eligibility refer to 5.9.
4.10 Only two points of contact with the bow are permitted with the bow at full draw. These points of contact are generally understood to be the archer's hand in the bow's grip and the archer's draw hand- athletes who require a non-standard bodypart to complete their draw process are a noted exception and the judge reserves the right to ask for a medical note. Facial or chest contact with the string or items tied on to the string do not constitute 'contact with the bow' for these purposes, but any other part of the bow contacting an archer's body while at full draw would not be allowed. These additional points of potential contact include, but not are not limited to: stabilizers, string stops, sight bars, or overdraws
4.11 Coaches are encouraged to attend the event however, they must remain behind the field of play in the designated spectator area during qualifications and eliminations.
Chapter 5 - Appeals During and After Competition
5.1 An appeal may be submitted regarding the following: decisions concerning anti-doping rules violations, mistakes made by tournament officials, or violations of Lancaster Classic rules by athletes, coaches, Lancaster Archery Supply Staff, or judges. No appeal will be accepted in protesting against the event itself.
5.2 The following parties have the right to submit an appeal: the athlete or other individual who is the subject of the appealed decision, the other party to the case in which the decision was rendered, the National Anti-Doping Agency of the athlete’s country of residence or countries where the athlete is a national or license holder, or Lancaster Archery Supply. The parties listed above are responsible for completing and submitting the appeal. If completed by any other parties not listed the appeal will be rejected.
5.3 A separate appeal must be submitted for each individual infraction being claimed.
5.4 A $100 cash fee per appeal will be required immediately upon submission of said appeal before it will be accepted. No appeal will be accepted without this fee. This fee will be returned in full to the applicant only if their appeal is successfully upheld. For division eligibility appeal fees see 5.9.
5.5 A Jury of Appeal consisting of three members shall be appointed by Lancaster Archery Supply for each Lancaster Archery Classic.
5.6 Appeals may be made solely to the Director of Judges, who shall then pass the appeal along to the Jury of Appeal. The Jury of Appeal will resolve the dispute definitively in accordance with their interpretation of the Lancaster Classic rules. The maximum time limit for a response to the appeal is twenty-one days after receipt of the original appeal.
5.7 Appeals concerning the violation of rules by athletes, coaches, or judges during the qualifier round shall be submitted to the Director of Judges in the time period between the start of the athlete’s official practice to fifteen minutes after the completion of the athlete’s qualification line.
5.8 An intent to appeal when it might affect the progression of an athlete during elimination matches shall be expressed in writing and lodged with the Director of Judges within five minutes of the end of the relevant match, or prior to the start of the next match, whichever is first.
5.9 Protests regarding division eligibility must be accompanied by an appeal form, and be submitted no later than fifteen minutes after the conclusion of the protested archer’s qualification line. The appeal form must be accompanied by compelling proof of ineligibility and a $500 fee. This fee will be returned in full to the applicant only if the appeal is successfully upheld.
